A birthday, the beetle bug and the mohawk!!

If you think...by the title of this blog...that I am in the process of titling my newest children's book, you are mistaken. This is a collaboration of the remaining pictures on my camera. My niece, Alex, had her 8th birthday on St. Patty's Day and so we loaded up the fam and headed to Sumter to celebrate. Happy Belated Birthday again Alex!! We love you. Some of these pictures are extreme random ones of Avery as she poses for the camera....I can never get good ones so when I do I have to post. Does anyone else despise the 3 second delay on digital cameras?!?!? Once I scrounge up $800, maybe I'll invest in a better one. Anywho..Brian, Avery and I flew to Wisconsin to visit Brian's family and ONCE AGAIN I got no pictures. I did take my camera but couldn't find where I packed it until I got home. I never knew there was a secret compartment in my diaper bag....there it was. We had such a good time while we were there and the weather was wonderful!! We celebrated great Grandma Dollens 80th birthday as well as visited with many other family members, who had their cameras and I feel sure will share some pics with me later. Claudia..tell Mike we want copies!!! I do have a funny story to share about our trip. Every spring as the weather gets a little warmer, Nana and Grandpa Clark are blessed to have little Asian Beetle Bugs (aka Lady Bugs) congregate on the inside of the windows in their house. Aren't they so lucky?!? While Avery was playing one day, Brian found her munching on something and looked down beside her and found two little wings...remnants of what was a beetle bug. That poor little thing was being crunched on by 12 extremely sharp baby teeth. We did our best effort at trying to remove it but we too got bit in the process. I guess he tasted good and maybe she needed a little more protein that day!! The last few pics are what Avery's hair looks like at the end of a day being in a hair rubber band...and so we have the Mohawk!! I will post more pictures of our trip once I pawn them off of family members and for those of you who are wondering, no I am not writing children's books!!!
